After the two successful editions of our this new weekly series on startup events to attend this week, we are here with our latest edition for the startup events to attend in this week.
The most happening event of the last week was GES 2017. During the three day event several startups presented their pitches in front of PM Narendra Modi. While the PM promoted Make In India and highlighted the improved ease of doing business in India, the guest of honour Ivanka Trump praised the growing opportunities for women entrepreneurs in the country.
Those who were not able to grab the tickets for GES 2017 or were too busy last week to attend any other event, here is a list of another bunch of startup events which one can look to attend this week..
Startup Events To Attend This Week
Visakhapatnam or fondly known as Vizag is the financial capital of Andhra Pradesh, a state whose government is currently leaving no stone unturned to promote its startups as well as recognise the potential of new age technologies such as blockchain. Just recently, the state government hosted a two-day Vizag International Blockchain Conference to trigger startups, corporates, local and global investors to eye Vizag city as home to fintech and related verticals’ ecosystem in India.
BIGShift Vizag is a similar attempt by Inc42 to showcase the rising opportunities in the ninth richest city of the country. BIGShift is a series of startup events organised by Inc42 and Amazon India across 8 tier I and tier II cities of India.Having hosted BIGShift in six cities already, Inc42 is now bringing BIGShift to Vizag.
The event will bring together prominent startups, founders, influencers, investors, and ecosystem enablers together for an engaging and stimulating discourse about how to start the business; the right time to raise funding; the challenges of team building and the much-dreaded fear of burnout. NSE Tech Conclave 2017
National Stock Exchange Of India (NSE) was established in 1992 as the first demutualized electronic exchange in the country. Almost 25 years of inception, and the exchange has been able to gain around 1696 listings ( as of March 2016), wherein the percentage of startups going public is almost negligible.
So, why do startup founders prefer venture funding route over IPO? What are the reasons because of which Indian startups with even 10 years of establishment are shy to get listed at the stock exchange? If you are the one who is looking for answers to these, NSE Tech Conclave is an ideal event to attend this week.
Hosted by NSE, the event will focus on helping tech entrepreneurs and private equity investors get value out of public markets as they look to grow and scale their startups. There are several sessions lined up to provide entrepreneurs with the information and understanding they need to decide on the best fundraising and exit options for them.
